Sense of Place
This body of work, Sense of Place, explores the importance of place through documenting visual aspects of Dublin’s (social) landscape, focusing on where I live, Dublin 10.
Made on 35mm film, the project is a personal mapping of a place that has been my home for the last four years. Post-COVID we are required to make sense of the complexity of changing socio-spatial relations. The images capture the character and personality of Ballyfermot and have allowed me to investigate the concepts of identity and attachment, cultural narratives, environmental challenges and social realities.
